Amanzi or Amazing, it’s a really wonderful place. We were lucky last night, they had an empty room for us.  We enjoyed the room.  We enjoyed the room, service, swimming pool, breakfast – everything. And the kindly service/people.

There is nothing else to say than: It was the best place to stay in Knysna!!! Amanzi is one of our greatest highlights for our first visit in South Africa and Knysna. Especially Cathy & Simon are very friendly people!! We will certainly return. It was a wonderful stay. Couldn’t be any better.

So sorry to have to leave Amanzi, 2 nights here definitely not enough, we wish we could have stayed longer! – A definite highlight on our honeymoon trip. We had a most wonderful time in Knysna, albeit too short. The Amanzi Lodge is the most amazing place to stay and Simon was the most hospitable of hosts. Breakfasts to die for, and well stocked fridge. What more could you ask for! God willing we will return in the future. Thanks for making our stay magical.

Amanzi was absolutely beautiful and the staff was fantastic. They were so attentive and helped us make plans for restaurants and any activities we wanted to do. I can’t say enough about this bed and breakfast.

Amanzi Lodge was perfect. Comfortable, clean, friendly, a comfortable sitting room area if you didn’t want to be on your own balcony or deck. Breakfast couldn’t have been any better and such a wonderful setting. We liked the honesty bar. Recommendations for places to eat and daytime activities were well advised. We would certainly recommend Amanzi Lodge to fellow travellers. We sincerely hope that we will return in a couple of years time.

To put my stay in context, I normally stay in 5 star hotels and have travelled extensively. The stay at this hotel exceeded our expectations, the location is great, the place beautiful. Helen and her mother were perfect hosts and I can’t rate this place high enough. It is thoroughly recommended.

Home away from home
This was a gem. Great location in Knysna with a fantastic view of the Heads. Very calming atmosphere with a welcoming and helpful hostess. Nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast.

We have spent 2 days with Helen and Susan in their beautifully decorated house. The view from our room was superb and so was the food and the hospitality. Our stay was too short, but we will definitely come back.

Our stay at Amanzi Lodge was the BEST and most memorable of all the guest houses we stayed in!!! Sue and Helen were amazing hosts and we felt like long lost relatives being welcomed into their home. The lodge itself is simply beautiful, comfortable, well presented and well cared for. The breakfasts were EXCELLENT. We would recommend Amanzi for all these reasons and also for the stunning location overlooking the Heads at Knysna.

Fantastic place to stay! – The Amanzi Lodge is a really good choice to stay in Knysna, we only stayed there for 2 nights but we wished it was longer. The hostess is a really nice and helpful young lady. She really lets you feel at home at her place. The price is very cheap for what you get. The location is one of the best in Knysna, and the island (located in the lagoon!!) is very safe.

Home away from home. We loved our stay. The owners were great, and catered to our every whim. The breakfasts were excellent, with attention to detail and personal service. Superb bedding ensured restful sleeps. We felt at home at all times.
